Last day (and workout) in Cali! Heading home tonight on a redeye, so I’m hoping I sleep well enough on the plane that I can workout tomorrow. With all the traveling, I think I may have actually lost count of the actual day I’m on with Meta! I need to get home and double check on my chart. Wow I’m Type A ;)
It’s been a bit tough sticking to the kind of food I wanted to on this trip since we’ve been ordering on a lot, but I think I did relatively well. The first morning I got here, I went out and bought my breakfast necessities (greek yogurt, old fashioned oats, almond milk, eggs and english muffins) so I’ve had a nutritious breakfast every day at the least. At restaurants I’ve tried to stick to soups and salads. One night I even made a delicious and healthy meal for everyone. I just feel SO much better when I’m eating cleaner, and as much as I’ve loved my vacation I’m really looking forward to getting home and back into my routine.
First of all, Tracy just gave birth! Congrats to her on the new little one!!
I’m in LA visiting my sister, and am psyched to finally be on a vacation I can exercise on! I can definitely feel how I’ve been slacking on my cardio for the past month with all my traveling and various illnesses - but, it’s only got me more focused and committed on wrapping up Meta in the coming weeks.
I’m having some issues deciding which body type to switch to for Continuity - as a pear, I’m not sure if the Glutecentric or Hipcentric workouts will be the right ones for me. I’m going to email Tracy’s customer service - will let you know how helpful they are.
Not sure if I’ll be able to workout tomorrow, I’m going to Six Flags! I’m here for 9 days and my goal is to work out at least 5 times - already 2 workouts down!
Hi hi hi! Sorry for the major disappearance - to be honest, I thought I’d have time to blog (and do Meta) on my class trip last week, but sadly it didn’t happen. I got only one day in the gym to finish off L7, and have been so busy over the past weekend with Graduation and visiting family that I didn’t get to start L8 until today.
That being said, my trip was GLORIOUS - I got to hike in the rainforest, sleep on the beach and eat some delicious food. I also rocked tiny tiny shorts all week and wasn’t self conscious at all, I even walked around the pool without a cover up a bunch of times! Wearing super short shorts and the sans-cover up look is a BIG step forward for me, there’s no way I would have done any of that if I hadn’t been working out so hard for the past few months.
The one time I worked out at the gym on my trip, I was working out harder than almost anyone else there, and it made me so proud! Even buff guys at the hotel gym were stopping to see what I was doing - I know Tracy gets a lot of flak for her workout being all about “teeny tiny” and “3 lb weights”, but Meta is just as hard as anything out there. My BF even sees me workout sometimes and says he probably wouldn’t be able to keep up with a lot of the moves, and his workouts are pretty intense too.
L8 is a bit different than L7, it’s definitely still hard, but most of it is on the floor. Actually, the only standing part of the MS workout is Standing Abs, even “Standing Arms” are technically on your knees! I’m also really feeling my abs engage in a lot of the floor leg moves - total body workout!
I’ll be traveling again this weekend & but will be visiting my sister next week so I should have plenty of time to workout and post while she’s at work.
Ok, so it’s been three straight days of no working out and I’m finally well enough that I have the energy to make it through a workout. I have 8 days till I’m back on the beach and I’m hoping I can do at least 5 Cardio sessions before then, considering I’ll be out of town next weekend.
I love L7 - it’s SO HARD but it’s amazing to see how quickly your body adjusts to the moves. The first day I had trouble doing half the counts and by Day 4 I was already close to doing most of the reps for almost all of the moves.
Same goes for the arms, the first day I couldn’t make it through all of the weighted reps and I made it through by D4 too!
